I (Evangeline) am a visual artist born in the Phoenix desert. I use my art to explore the connective tissue in an individual's relationships: to self, to community, to society. Terilyn Eisenhauer is a writer, actor, tarot reader and yoga teacher who is committed to helping others lead a joyful, more fulfilling life through movement, creativity and magic.

We are both motherless daughters and creative wanderers.

We met in April of 2020 through Project Pass the Peace and felt magic strike as we discovered their similar yet unique journeys with motherhood loss. The process of creating together was so instantly intuitive that we decided to establish a more permanent partnership to explore our grief together through our creative tools. Fun fact: We have never met in person! (Hello quarantine collaboration!)

We are currently working on a book made up of poems, collages, and short essays that explore our connection to our mothers and relationship with adolescent loss to cancer. Our process of creation is what we believe makes this project so unique. We have created a list of 60+ prompts, and in each work session we pick one to serve as our spring board. Evangeline then creates a multimedia collage while Terilyn writes a poem in response. We’ve found that the two being paired together offers a more complete look at the particular aspect of grief we are exploring. Shapes make up for the spaces where words aren’t quite sufficient and vice versa. We’ve been doing this project virtually for all of 2020 with over 50 pages of content so far, and are anxious to devote real concentrated in-person time together to create more organically and flush out the structure of this book. Our eventual goal is to publish this book, build an online community, and eventually host classes, workshops and retreats.

We are excited to be Artists in Residence at Sou’wester Lodge in Seaview, WA this July.
