commissions
Collaboration is the most powerful fuel for my artistry. I adore collaborating with you to explore your aesthetic, expression, and non-tangible ideas in a thrilling, interactive way! My goal is always to create something that resonates with you and will warm your home for years to come. It is a joy, an honor, a truly addicting process. Let’s create something together! (You may also give the gift of collaborative commissioning by purchasing a “voucher” from me for a loved one. Specify this option in the contact field at the end of the page!)
Commissions are available for acrylic and oil paintings, collage, and watercolor!
creating together
Step 1, Initial ideas: Like all good things, it all starts with an idea. Your idea! I’ve had folks come to me with ideas as vague as a simple color, word, or piece of music they want me to bounce off of. I’ve also had people come to me with an entire color scheme, aesthetic, or rough composition that they’re looking to achieve together. No matter how loose or specific of a vision is floating around in your head, I am thrilled to explore and execute it together!
Step 2, Vision: After our initial conversation, I create an “inspiration board” both as a reference point for myself as I begin creating for you, and as a communication devise to ensure we are on the same page! This is our drawing board.
Step 3, Magic Making: After that, the adventure begins! For the next few weeks I will be creating for you. Exploring, enhancing, and musing on the ideas and themes we’ve selected for this piece. Throughout this time you may choose to receive sneak peeks/check-ins to continue giving direction, or you may choose to be surprised!
Step 4, Reveal and Refine: Once I feel the piece is to my satisfaction, I will send you images for your approval and for any final touches you may want me to add. I love finding little ways to make your artwork really “pop” for you.
Step 5, Shipment/delivery: Once you are happy with your piece, and your final invoice has been paid, you can expect to have it in your hands within 5-7 business days!
Please allow 6-8 weeks for this entire process. Rushed orders for special occasions, birthdays, anniversaries, etc. are possible for a small added fee. Let’s make it happen!
A note on pricing:
As soon as we both have a solid idea of the size and medium of your piece, a price for the commission will be decided. My goal is to make something special for you within your budget. For all commissions, you will be billed for 50% of the cost upfront and the other 50% at the completion of the project. Shipping cost will be calculated and added onto the final invoice. I am willing to deliver to areas within a reasonable distance of NYC. Contact me to discuss!

Testimonials
“I asked Evangeline to help make some art based on a film concept I was working on. Not only did she come at the project with enthusiasm but she came with inspiration and many thoughtful ideas. Evangeline created a custom collage piece for me that was simple and profound. I really felt as though she was not only completing a task given to her, but really letting the work move her. She elevated my own thinking for what I was imagining I wanted. The experience was collaborative from beginning to end. She always made me feel creative even though she was the one doing the creative part! Her artistic energy brought light to her work that I can still feel every time I look at the beautiful piece that now hangs on my wall.”

“I could not more highly recommend Evangeline as an artist and all-around wonderful human. My husband and I were so excited to commission a large, focal piece painting for our first home together. I'm so glad I picked Evangeline for the job. I sent her pictures of the space and she used the color scheme I had already picked out for the furniture and rug to begin the creative journey. The only direction I gave was pretty abstract - I just knew I wanted something colorful and warm and meaningful. Evangeline created a whole inspiration board of images that she walked me through and it was like she had peered into my soul with all her ideas. She drew inspiration from the French countryside and a specific picture my husband and I had taken on a recent trip to Paris - the color scheme just happened to match what I was looking for. She kept me up-to-date through the rest of the process, sending me "in progress" photos of the painting to make sure she was still going down the right path. The final result was everything I could have hoped for and more - we now have a painting we will cherish for the rest of our lives!”
