a little about me....

I'm Evangeline Stott, an acrylic + oil, collage, and watercolor artist born in the Phoenix desert. I use my art to explore the connective tissue in an individual's relationships: to self, to another, to community, to society, to family. What is it that ties us so strongly to another person, or place? What bonds? Many of my pieces are playful, and even humorous. I use shape and texture to communicate a lust for life and explore empathy with my audience. Being an "actress turned artist" means that collaboration and connection are built into my operating system, and I strive to use those tools to better my work and my community with each brush stroke. I’d love to create something with you.
